About The 1980s Hip-Hop Wars

New York City in the 1980s is marked by rising insecurity, heavy policing, and deep social tensions, with the Bronx at the center of it all. At the same time, hip-hop is rapidly emerging as a powerful cultural force, shaping identity, reputation, and influence across neighborhoods. What began as a form of expression has evolved into intense competition, as crews and artists push for recognition. As pressure builds from both the streets and authorities, the balance between creativity and conflict grows increasingly fragile.

Delegates are expected to think strategically, act decisively, and engage fully in a fast-paced, evolving crisis. This committee rewards creativity, bold decision-making, and strong collaboration, as alliances shift and rivalries emerge in real time. Participants must navigate both insecurity and competition, balancing the need for stability with the desire for dominance. In a city where reputation is everything, only those who can shape the narrative will define what comes next.
