About The Ad-Hoc of the Director General

Welcome to the 305MUN IV Ad-Hoc of the Director General! The topic of this committee, in typical Ad-Hoc fashion, will remain a secret until the beginning of the first session of the conference. The Ad-Hoc seeks to provide an innovative and unique challenge for delegates that requires quick thinking and creative problem-solving.

Although the topic will be secret until the start of committee session, the Dias will be sharing a series of hints leading up to 305MUN. The hints are not meant to be relied on, nor will they be very easy to solve, because that would ruin the surprise!

This is an advanced committee; it is highly recommended that delegates competing in this committee have experience in specialized committees on the collegiate circuit before this conference.

Director

Emma Best

Emma Best (She/Her) is a rising junior from Ithaca, New York, double-majoring in International Studies and Global Health Studies with a minor in Business Law, on the Pre-Law Track. She has been a part of Miami MUN for 3 years and has competed, run, and staffed numerous conferences across the circuit. Emma is also serving as the Head Delegate for Miami Model UN for the 2026-2027 School Year.

Outside of MUN, Emma is on the Executive Board for multiple clubs around campus, her favorite being Habitat for Humanity and the UHRF. Over the summer, she will be interning in Washington, D.C., continuing her ‘National Park Tour’ with her father in the drop-top as old as her, hitting any concert within a 300-mile radius (drop recs :))…and writing her background guide, of course.

As the previous 305MUN III Director-General, Emma is extremely excited to be changing sides and running the Ad-Hoc of the Director-General for 305MUN IV. See you all in Miami…in a different hotel this time! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact her at eeb163@miami.edu
