Emissions Everywhere All At Once: United Nations Development Program
Double Delegate General Assembly
About The Committee
Topic A: Domestic Enforcement of Preexisting Agreements
Topic B: Developing New Technologies to Mitigate the Causes and Effects of Climate Change
Across every continent, climate change is no longer a distant threat, it is happening now. Rising sea levels, extreme weather, and environmental instability continue to impact the world’s most vulnerable populations. While international and national agreements exist, enforcement remains inconsistent, creating a gap between what is promised and what is actually done.
In this double delegate General Assembly under UNDP, delegations must work together to tackle both accountability and innovation. Delegates will address the lack of enforcement of preexisting agreements while also exploring how new technologies and practices can mitigate the causes and effects of climate change.
With time running out, the stakes are high. What actions must be taken now to prevent further damage? How can development and sustainability coexist? And how can collaboration lead to solutions that are both ambitious and realistic?
In a world where emissions are everywhere, action must be everything.
